Re: Your favorite RPG of all time.
My favorite is either Chrono Trigger, or Earthbound. I can never actually decide! It's always whichever one I'm playing at the moment.
*playing Earthbound* This is my favorite game! Like, forever!
*then plays Chrono Trigger* No, wait! FAVE.
It's a never ending war.

Re: Your favorite RPG of all time.
I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy III(VI) for Super Nintendo. There's been a ton of RPGs I've really enjoyed since then, but I haven't had as much fun with any of them as I did first playing through FFIII. Though Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, Chrono Trigger, FFVII, and Legend of Dragoon came close.

Everyone knows the greatest RPG of all time is Zelda 2, it`s made of gold and sent from the heavens.

Re: Your favorite RPG of all time.
Final Fantasy IV & VI
Legend of Dragoon
Wild ARMs
Lost Odyssey
Knights of the Old Republic
Crystalis
Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross
Lunar 1 & 2
Would we count the Mana/Seiken Densetsu series?

Re: Your favorite RPG of all time.
Out of all the RPGs I've played, w or j, Chrono Trigger still rocks.
I am still partial to the Mass Effect games though (even though the RPG elements are lighter than usual)

FF4 is definitely my top Final Fantasy game.
My favourite RPG though is a small game called Legend of Dragoon.
That game is so much fun.

Legend of Dragoon is one of my fondest PS1 memories. Such a fun RPG to play. I wish we could get a prequel where you play through the ancient war of the dragoons and see the rise of the "black monster." Haven't played through the game in a few years, and I'm strongly considering picking it back up. I always liked playing with Haschel (know idea if I spelled that correctly - it really has been years), Rose, and Albert. I wish I could have always had all three in my party as once. Enjoyed Kongol too actually, especially once he was able to do combos. Oh man, know I have to sit down and do another playthrough soon. You've gotten me all excited.

My favourite team was always Dart, Albert, and Kongol. Albert's combo's were so hard to learn, especially considering they had a different tempo than Lavitz ( ) but they were really satisfying too. I remember me and my brother chuckling everytime we used his last combo, because the name was different from the one he said. Silly translators
I just wish my PS2 didn't stop playing PS1 games

Yeah, Albert's final combo was so satisfying to pull off! I forgot about the name being different, but now I remember being like WTF is he talking about?
My early model PS2 did the same thing, it won't play DVDs if they have movies or play CDs of any kind, but plays PS2 games (with the exception of the few that were on CDs - usually blue bottom ones) no problem. Cleaning the lens doesn't help but for some reason standing it on its side does. I still have my PS1 though so I usually just rock that.

Re: Your favorite RPG of all time.
The Golden Sun series as a whole is my favorite. It's like they mixed classic RPG fights with Zelda-style puzzles. Plus it has an interesting story and interesting characters.
